Najarra was only three years old when she was able to pinpoint what she wanted in life. Najarra began modeling, and later performing in local stage productions and was able to stay involved in theatre and musicals through her early and teenage years. When she was ten, she had her first big screen appearance co-starring in the film "Menace". Najarra won international recognition for her part in the Sundance and Cannes Award-winning "Me as well as You and Everyone We are", in 2005. She's played the main character in numerous films like "Tru Loved" and "Marin Blue" and "Betty I am" as well as others.
