Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress and singer. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. She is from Polish descent (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's talents for performing were discovered at a very young age. She attended her audition in 1992 and was offered an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mom signed her up at an agency prior to when her 13th birthday. She then appeared in television advertisements as well as newspaper ads. In addition, she is beginning private acting lessons. Bell had an uncredited role in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell took part in the Drama and Music Club in Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the role of the lead Dorothy part. Bell was a student at the Tisch School of the Arts where she studied Musical Theater in New York City. Bell dropped out of the school in 2001 and assumed the role of Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. However, her scene was cut from the film and she only appears in the credits. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in the Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
