Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actress also known as producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. Her career began in theater and later appeared in a number of television series and independent and mainstream movies. The actress was famous for her role as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The series both received reviews, and she also won a lot of accolades. She started her career acting in 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. The actress has appeared in Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In her film career, she is most well-known for her performances in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her role on television in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her high praise.
