Awkwafina
Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began with a series of rap songs that dealt with issues of sexuality and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood following the release of several rap songs. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical experience. She was a trumpet player. After classical and Jazz training her interest in hip-hop grew in her teen years. In the college years, she remained focused on her studies and studied women's studies and journalism. For a brief period during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. Following graduation, she decided to pursue music as her main focus. My Vag, her track My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a popular viral sensation on the Internet and was later featured on her first LP Yellow Ranger. This album also featured popular hits that went viral, such as body positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The final track was closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. The singer decided to make acting as a profession following the completion of her previous two endeavors, author and musician. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors as well as Storks. In the year 2018, she was offered a number of notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP,"In Fina We Trust in June of the year.
